Mama's Shorts and First Play-Doh

With adoption, you miss many "firsts." At the same time, though, you get to appreciate all the new firsts. There's been a bunch of first foods. Dried cranberries, yogurt drinks, applesauce (frankly anything sweet) are a few favorites. This week she had her first time with play with the childhood mainstay, Play-doh. She loves the Play-doh, and I love the fact that with the new picnic table, Play-doh can be an outside activity.

Mia also loves mimicking anything the adults around her do. This includes putting on my chapstick, talking on the phone or cellphone, and trying on my clothes. Here are a few pictures with her trying on my shorts. You can see the little peanut easily fit her entire body into one leg of my shorts.

  1. It's fun to celebrate the firsts you do get to experience like play-doh! Can't be a kid without it!

  2. I totally need an outdoor table for play-doh! Oh, the mess :) Looks like you two are having lots of fun together.
