Two AND A Half!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Mia YanYan! I can't believe my little pumpkin is already 2 1/2! Three will be here in no time! Here's a quick update of what a 2 1/2 year old can do...

• She knows a bunch of English words, uses probably around 200-300 words. She can follow one-step commands (put on your shoes, go throw that away, put your clothes in the hamper). She has started using pronouns (I, you) and the possessive s (Mia's, MaMa's), and she can form 2 word sentences.
  
• She can jump, jump, jump AND loves to jump everywhere. "Bunny hop."
• She is 95% potty trained during the day! Go big girl panties!
• She can unload the silverware from the dishwasher and sort them into their tray. Great...that's your job from now on!
• She loves to eat! This month's loves: avocados, bananas, apple juice, beef jerky (just discovered that yesterday), root beer, french fries (loves to dip them in ketchup or ranch at Red Robin), yogurt (GoGurts and yogurt drinks, she's loved them since day 1).
• She says "Thank You Mama" all the time. Very cute.
• She loves animals and their sounds. She knows all the basics and many of the others. For example, she knows "heehaw" for a donkey, and can name a flamingo and guinea pig.
• She loves Ni-Hao Kai-Lan, The Wonder Pets, and The Wiggles.
• Her favorite song to go to sleep listening to is "Mamma Mia" by ABBA, and yes, she thinks the song is about us.

I'm sure to look back at this post 6 months from now, be so glad it's the middle of summer and not the middle of dreary winter, and be amazed at all the changes she made in the next six months.
