Last day in Guangzhou

We spent out last hours in Guangzhou packing and going to another park.  This one is also right by the hotel and called Yue Xiu Park.  Like the last park, parks in China are really large gardens with lots of strolling paths.  This one had a lake, koi fish to feed, areas where the Chinese gathered to do their exercises, a play area, and even a swimming pool.  In English they used the word natartorium.  This is the first I have heard of that word, but I am sure the Spanish speakers out there see the cognate, nadar.  After strolling in the park ang getting sufficiently sweaty from the heat, we went back to the hotel to pack.

Our flight to Hong Kong was supposed to leave at 10:20 P.M.  It left about an hour late, getting us to our hotel, finally about 1:30 A.M.  Definitely not the easiest little bit of travel.  The advantage, though, is that when we leave here on Sunday, we just have one direct flight back to the states.

Today we are taking it it easy in Hong Kong.  I am currently trying to get Ava LaoLao to take a desperately needed nap.  She did not take a nap on the foster home, but she also went to bed at 7:00. I think she is going to have to learn to take naps.

Tomorrow we are surprising Mia with a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland.  We didn't tell her about its existence, just in case we weren't able to make it.  LaoLao did great at the safari park, so we anticipate a good day tomorrow.
