This is Mia's second introduction to the beach. She was not thrilled last fall when the sand touched her feet at Monterey. So this time, we let her keep her sandals on. She did much better, walked for a bit, looked at the sea birds and sand castles, and enjoyed the kites. Amy gave her a stick to write with in the sand and that was fun too. Another day we bought and flew a kite and she held it for a bit by herself (well, until she let it go...fun to watch Diane go chase it.) I don't have the kite pictures downloaded yet as I brought the video camera for that trip. Here's some beach pictures. Notice our matching pink Pismo Beach sweatshirts...Mia loves hers.
