Care Package and Travel Plans

Last week another family was able to deliver a doll and family photo album to Ava LaoLao.  Hopefully the doll will help her transition as it is something she can take from the foster home when we get her.  And hopefully seeing our faces in the album will help the transition be not so scary.  Her foster mother said that she would go through it with her in the coming month.


I have also been finalizing travel plans.  We will be leaving late night Friday/Saturday morning of August 23rd.  We arrive in Guangzhou on Sunday morning, their time.  We will be staying at the China Hotel, Marriott.  We get Ava LaoLao on Monday.  We go to visit the foster home on Thursday of that week.  Our plans include lots of adoption paperwork, medical visits, and the such.  We will also go to the well liked safari park and plan on taking a night dinner cruise on the pearl River.  Both of those were things that we didn't do 5 years ago, so that is neat.  After our 10 night stay in Guangzhou, we go to sightsee in Hong Kong for 4 nights.
