Last weekend we went to Paso Robles, CA for their Wine Harvest Weekend. At one winery, the truckload of newly cut grapes had just arrived. We got to taste the grapes, petite syrah. Wine grapes aren't as sweet as table grapes, but they were good. Mia was quite happy to be able to participate a bit in the wine tasting, even if the grapes were still not quite wine. Mia slept for the first time in Papa's and Nini's fifth wheel. She also pet a dog for the first time. This is pretty big for her since she has been scared of dogs since she came home. The dog belonged to friends of the family who came along for the trip. Lexi, the dog, is a nice, small, quiet little dog, just perfect for a two year old who isn't sure about dogs.
Today was Mia's first Halloween party. She wore a cheerleader costume. There was a bounce house and pumpkin decorating. She had a great time in the bounce house, even with all the "bigger" kids in there. She doesn't really jump but bounces and walks around, falls, gets up, and keeps on going. Mia and her friend thought the giant paper spider hanging on the ceiling was quite a sight. They were cute standing together in awe of this spider. I can't wait until next weekend for her first Halloween!
